Couples Therapy

Every relationship experiences seasons of connection and seasons of struggle. Whether you’re preparing for marriage, feeling caught in recurring arguments, growing apart, recovering from a betrayal, or simply longing to reconnect, couples therapy offers a place to slow down, better understand one another, and begin creating new patterns together.

I strive to create a balanced, compassionate space where both partners feel heard and understood. Rather than deciding who is “right” or “wrong,” we work together to uncover the patterns that keep you feeling stuck and help you build healthier ways of communicating, resolving conflict, and strengthening emotional connection.

I primarily use the Restoration Therapy model, which helps couples understand the deeper relational patterns that drive conflict and teaches practical tools for creating lasting change. I also integrate principles from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which helps partners strengthen emotional connection and attachment, and the Gottman Method, which offers research-based strategies for improving communication, rebuilding trust, and navigating conflict. Together, these approaches allow me to tailor therapy to the unique strengths, challenges, and goals of each couple.

Couples therapy can be helpful for:

  • Premarital counseling and preparing for marriage
  • Communication difficulties
  • Frequent conflict or recurring arguments
  • Emotional distance or disconnection
  • Trust and betrayal
  • Parenting differences
  • Life transitions and changing roles
  • Intimacy concerns
  • Differences in values, faith, or political beliefs
  • Stress related to work, caregiving, or chronic illness
  • Strengthening an already healthy relationship

Whether you’re hoping to build a strong foundation before marriage or repair a relationship that’s been strained over time, my goal is to help you better understand one another, deepen your connection, and create a relationship that feels secure, resilient, and fulfilling.
